Introduction


THE Global Market Research & Insights is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers, suppliers and all employees in a responsible and safe manner. We will always be clear and transparent about the personal data we collect, for what purpose we do it and for how long we keep it.

In this sense, and in order to ensure that all personal data is treated and protected in accordance with the new General Protection Regulation of (EU) 2016/679, of April 27, 2016, we ask you to read, please, the following information, which corresponds to our new privacy and data protection policy carefully.

1 - Data controller



Global Market Research & Insights, hereinafter “Global”, is the controller of the data of all personal information that is collected and used, about customers, suppliers and all employees for the purposes established in the law and in the General Regulation of Data Protection. Data, with NIPC 505 666 017 and registered office at Rua Hermano Neves, 18 Piso 3 E7, 1600-477 Lisbon, in Portugal.



In order to advise on issues related to data protection, a Data Protection Officer has been appointed, with whom he can contact via email: protecao.dados@globalmri.pt.


2 - Personal Data



Personal data corresponds to any information, regarding an identified or identifiable natural person, of any nature and regardless of the type of support.



More specifically, we may collect Name, age, address, e-mail address, telephone number, nationality and date of birth. We can also collect if you have children, the number of children and their dates of birth. In certain cases and with the express consent of the holders, personal data related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union affiliation, data relating to health or data relating to sexual life or orientation may also be processed. data subjects' sexual orientation.



3 - Purposes for which personal data are used

The collection and processing of personal data within the scope of the above-mentioned activity is intended for carrying out market or opinion surveys.


Thus, and if unsolicited personal data is transmitted to Global, it cannot be held responsible for its treatment under the policy described above.


By providing any personal data, the data provider explicitly agrees that we may use it to perform activities in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The personal data we keep may be used, depending on the specific case, for the following purposes:

  1. Provide the services that customers request from us and send information related to the activity such as articles and initiatives.


These data are kept as relevant to the development of the company's activity, unless requested to be eliminated in accordance with the law.

  1. For supervision and quality control and confirmation of inquiries carried out. These data are eliminated after one year after the completion of the project that gave rise to them.
  2. Sending or completing registration in our personal databases, through website, phone, email or letter. Data kept for eventual selection as a participant in qualitative projects, unless requested to be eliminated in accordance with the law.
  3. Customer databases for conducting satisfaction or other surveys. These data are the property of the client and are only kept during the course of the project, after which they are returned to the client and eliminated from our records.


We will process personal data only in cases where we have a legal basis to do so. The legal basis will depend on the reasons why we collect it and for which we need to use personal data.


Only young people aged 16 and over will be able to give their own consent. In the case of children under the age, the consent of the children's parents or legal guardians is required.


We will not keep the data any longer than necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was processed. When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or safely destroy it.

4 - Retention of Personal Data



The period during which personal data is stored and preserved corresponds to the period necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose, or for the period corresponding to the maintenance of the consent by the data subjects.



To this extent, the data subject is entitled to request the deletion of their data, at any time, as indicated below.



5 - Right of access, rectification, elimination, treatment limitation and right to portability of Personal Data

The data subject is guaranteed, at any time, the right of access to his / her personal data, as well as the respective rectification, elimination, portability, limitation and / or opposition to the treatment - in this sense, he / she can exercise any of these rights by addressing , in writing, to Global through the address of the headquarters or through the following email: protecao.dados@globalmri.pt.



Withdrawing consent: Once your personal data is collected, we obtain your consent for the collection and processing of your personal data for a specific reason, the customer has the right to withdraw his consent for that specific processing at any time. Once we receive notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your information for the purpose or purposes for which you initially agreed, unless we have another legitimate basis for doing so under the law.

6 - Security in the processing of Personal Data

Personal data may be processed and stored computerized and on paper.


THE Global undertakes to guarantee the security and protection of the personal data made available to it, adopting the appropriate measures necessary for this purpose.


Computer security measures:

  • Code of conduct on the use of computer resources and services;
  • Access to the system requires password authentication;
  • The password is nominative;
  • There is a secure copy of data (secure servers);
  • The system has protection against improper access to personal data;
  • The system has protection against viruses, being systematically updated;
  • The operating systems are not obsolete and are updated almost systematically, so as not to contain known / published vulnerabilities;

Organizational Measures:

  • The data subject is informed if the processing activity involves the transfer of his data outside the European area;
  • Limitation of physical access where the data is processed;
  • Do not store personal data in the computer's memory;
  • Contracts with employees with long-term confidentiality duties;
  • All employees are informed of the policies and regulations;
  • The processing of personal data is done exclusively in the context of the agreed purposes;
  • Ensuring the provision of information duties to holders and obtaining consent;
  • Performance in line with the data protection policies and procedures of the data controller;
  • The data to be processed must always be strictly necessary for the purpose in question;

7 - Changes to the Privacy Policy



Global's Privacy Policy may change from time to time and any changes to the statement will be communicated through our website.


The version now communicated is the one currently in force.
